Mandy

Music Teacher

Mandy grew up in North Carolina and moved to San Diego in 1994 for her work in Environmental Engineering. Her children are both alumni of LJUMCNS. They refer to the nursery school as “the best place on earth.”

Mandy returned to the preschool in 2023 as a volunteer in the La Jolla Methodist’s amazing library. She hosts a Library Playgroup, at noon on Tuesdays, where we play games, sing songs, have fun and make friends. All students and parents are welcome to join.

Mandy’s musical study began in 7th grade band playing the flute. In addition to the flute, she dabbles in banjo and piano, but really relishes the ukulele. Her music classes at the nursery school are a mix of puppets, singing, exploring instruments, drama, dancing and yoga. Working with the children brings Mandy enormous joy!
