Lulu

Performing Arts Teacher

Lulu Lloyd is a born and raised La Jolla native, graduate of La Jolla United Methodist Nursery School, Stella Maris Academy and La Jolla High School. From a young age, Lulu had a passion to perform on stage and in 2015 she made her Broadway debut in Andrew Lloyd Webber’s “School of Rock” the Musical. After over 1,000 performances she departed to star in the North American and Canadian tour of Jim Steinman’s “Bat Out of Hell.” Next, she joined the First National Broadway tour of “Waitress” where she was lucky enough to play her dream role of Jenna.

San Diego theatergoers may have caught her in Steve Martin and Edie Brickell’s “Bright Star” at The Old Globe. In December 2019 Lulu decided 12 years in NYC was just enough and moved home to begin realizing another lifelong dream of teaching children and opening her own company. The Broadway Clubhouse is a San Diego based facility offering unique classes for children, teens, young adults and adults in theatre, acting and dance, as well as private lessons, mentorship programs and special one-day masterclasses; all led by Broadway performers! Lulu is thrilled to be back at Methodist sharing her love of all things performing arts with the cutest kids in the whole city!
