Annie Peppers
Annie Peppers was a student at LJUMCNS from 2006-2010 and is now in 9th grade at La Jolla High School. She is passionate about helping others in our community and has been a Girl Scout since she was in kindergarten and a member of National Charity League for the last 2 ½ years. We were so honored when Annie decided to dedicate her Girl Scout Silver Award project to our LJUMCNS community. After meeting with Carol, one of our outdoor studio classroom teachers, Annie determined that she would like to create a much needed science potting bench for the outdoor studio classroom and the children at the Nursery School.
Completing a project like this required a lot of planning on Annie’s part and we are grateful for her leadership in making this happen for the children at LJUMCNS. The custom designed bench is the perfect height for our preschoolers who have enjoyed using it for their gardening tasks. And, Carol is thrilled to have the extra storage space for soil, pots, and gardening tools.
In her spare time, Annie enjoys playing Field Hockey for La Jolla High and Coastal Clash and riding English with the goal of mastering Hunter/Jumper. We look forward to hearing about Annie’s future successes as she continues on with her leadership in the La Jolla community.
From all of us at La Jolla United Methodist Church Nursery School, Thank you, Annie and congratulations on your Girl Scout Silver Award!
