Marybeth

Sunflower Room Assistant

Marybeth has been working at LJUMCNS since 2018. She started as a substitute teacher and fell in love with the sunflower classroom and transitioned to the assistant teacher in 2020.

Marybeth studied family science with an emphasis in Early Childhood Education in college. After graduating, she began her teaching career at a homeless school in Arizona teaching First Grade. This teaching experience led her to get her Master’s in Education as she was busy raising her five children.

She loves to spend time with her husband Bryan and children traveling, eating good food, doing yoga, and walking their dog Beau on the beach or around the neighborhood. She loves the quote by Albert Einstein that, “play is the highest form of research.” You can find her playing with the two-year-old children in the sunflower classroom twice a week.
